The quarterfinal of the EU LCS between H2K and Fnatic has been delayed to August 16th due to technical issues.

The match was due to be played yesterday, August 14th, however once the teams took to the stage they discovered an issue with the sound coming from the PCs at the LCS arena. The issue was deemed to be unsolvable in a short amount of time so the decision was made to delay the games, to make sure that there is no tech issues impacting on what is one of the most important games in the LCS season.

H2K, who finished 3rd in the regular season, will now play Fnatic, who finished 5th after a horrible final few weeks, at 4pm UK time on August 16th.

With a spot in the semi finals on the line this is potentially the most important match of the season for the two teams. A win at the playoffs will secure them a spot at Worlds later in the year, while a good finish might just give them enough points to make it. Chances are that whichever team loses this match will not make it to worlds.

The other quarterfinal match up saw Unicorns of Love beat Giants 3-1, booking a place against either Splyce or G2 Esports in the semi final. Splyce and G2 secured a bye through the quarter final round due to finishing in the top two in the regular season.
