Jungsoo ‘Surrender’ Kim has emerged as the victor of the Hearthstone Championship Tour Summer Championship, which took place at the new Blizzard Arena in Burbank.

The South Korean player won out over Swedish Jon ‘Orange’ Westberg in the finals, earning himself $60,000 of the $250,000 prize pool, but also a ticket to the HCT World Championship, which is taking place at the Beurs Van Berlage Conference Centre in Amsterdam, in January 2018.

Westberg won’t feel too hard done by though, the top four finishers from each HCT seasonal championship get an invite to the World Championship, meaning that, paradoxically to the old adage that is no prize for second place, Westberg is actually snagging a prize of $40,000 and his own invite to Amsterdam in January.
