In more news presumably intended to be revealed at Sony’s Paris Games Week conference tonight, details about the platform holder’s eSports platform have arrived online.
IGN spotted what appears to be a homepage for something called the PlayStation Plus League. The portal name-drops a host of titles including PES 2016, Ultra Street Fighter IV, Rocket League, Mortal Kombat, Battlefield Hardline, Trials Fusion and Driveclub.
A League page for Project Cars also appears to be live. It details two divisions - Gold and Silver - with a monthly prize pool of ?150 for the former and ?50 for the latter. Which, in terms of eSports, is small fry to say the least.
?“In order to participate, you must first play at least five matches in a placement tournament so that your skill level can be estimated as accurately as possible,” the Project Cars page explains. “Once these are completed, you will be placed into a division for the ongoing season.
“There are eight seasons, each lasting four weeks each. The total length of the Championship is about 32 weeks therefore.”
Sony’s Paris Games Week conference kicks off at 6pm UK time tonight (October 27th). We’ll be covering all of the major announcements - which will seemingly include Driveclub Bikes - here on MCVuk.com.
