Kim ‘Geguri’ Se-yeon has signed with the Korean Overwatch team ROX Orcas, making her the first female player to compete in the OGN Overwatch Apex tournament.

Se-yeon is perhaps best known as the Zarya main so good that she was accused by several players of using hacks in June 2016, with several professional players joining the chorus screaming foul play.

Se-yeon had the last laugh however, playing live on South Korean esports site Inven while Blizzard also stepped in to clear her name. It turns out that the only hack she was using was talent, the greatest hack of all.

She comes from the ashes of EHOME Spear, which disbanded in June.

In an interview with ESPN, Se-yeon said that she signed for ROX because she wanted to play with a team again and further her experience.

“It hasn't been long since I've started to play a team game again, so yes, there definitely is a lot of pressure. My goal this season is to reach the quarterfinals, and I will be working hard."

Se-yeon hasn’t had a lot of success in competitive Overwatch so far, but has been quite a hit streaming. Whether this luck will change when she debuts in the Overwatch Apex in season 4 remains to be seen.
