Both Felipe "Misterio" Patricio Torres Carvacho and Tse "Tse444" Wa Ping will not be able to compete at the Capcom Cup this weekend.
They will be replaced by Kenneth "K-Brad" Bradley and Fujimura "Yukadon" Atsushi.
No reasons for the drop outs have been given, but as is usually the case with things like this is probably related to visas. It’s not uncommon for eSports players to be denied entry to the States for LAN events meaning standins and replacements are often required.
"Finally, I will not be able to attend this year's Capcom Cup," said Misterio in a Tweet. "Thank you for your support. This is just the beginning."
K-Brad is certainly no bad replacement. He becomes the second player to qualify thanks to his position on the Latin American leader boards after a solid year. Early on in the life of SFV he struggled but some strong performances in the second half of the year was enough to get him this spot.
Yukadon makes in in through the global leaderboard coming in at 24th place, which due to the more than confusing way the Capcom Pro Tour works was enough to book him a trip to California.
The Capcom Cup is the biggest event in the Street Fighter V calendar, with more than $350,000 on the line. The first day of competition will take place on December 2nd at the Esports Arena in Santa Ana while the top eight will play on December 3rd at PlayStation Experience at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim.
