ESL One New York will feature a $75,000 Street Fighter V competition alongside the already announced CS:GO tournament.
The Brooklyn Beatdown competition will hit the Barclays Center on October 1st and 2nd, and can host up to 1,024 players, with anyone being able to register for just $10. However to enter the venue participants will need a spectator ticket that costs $39, but also allows players to watch all the action across the weekend.
Before the competition takes place a number of online tournaments will be held that will offer prizes such as flight and hotel support for the main event, to ensure that competitors from all over the world are able to attend.
“We’re very excited to bring Street Fighter V to an ESL One event,” said Stuart Ewen, Product Manager at ESL. “The Street Fighter community contains some of the most legendary players and moments in esports history, and we hope that with The Brooklyn Beatdown we’ll be helping to realise and relay many more of these moments to Street Fighter V fans worldwide.”
