On Wednesday, HiRez Studios announced a $250,000 Paladins Console Series, powered by Mixer.
The Paladins Console Series is open to all Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players from North America and Europe, with teams scrapping in 12 monthly tournaments from October 2017-2018, with monthly prizes for the best performers each month.
Winners each month can expect a share of $19,000 and a wad of Crystals, Paladins in-game currency, with 84,000 being given away each month.
This will culminate with several LAN events, with the biggest being the Paladins Console World Championship that will take place at Hi-Rez Expo 2018.
It’s big money for the game, no doubt enabled by the partnership with Mixer. In line with this, matches will be live streamed exclusive on the PaladinsGame Mixer channel. More detail on the structure of the tournament can find it on the blog post on the Paladins website.
